Sono nato nel Marzo del 1979 e cresciuto a Portorecanati, piccola cittadina delle Marche che si affaccia sulla costa adriatica. La fotografia la incontro dopo i 30 anni, colpito dal potere evocativo di un vecchio scatto a pellicola fatto da mio Zio, che ritrae mia sorella, in un episodio della nostra infanzia.

Mi dedico essenzialmente a due generi fotografici. Il paesaggio, per il suo valore catartico, perché ti porta lontano dall’inutile chiacchiericcio del quotidiano e ti fa godere degli spettacoli del più grande artista che occhio umano possa ammirare,  Madre Natura. 

E la fotografia di strada, che gli anglosassoni definiscono ‘candid’, perché immediata e sorprendente. Lasciarsi andare alla strada, ascoltando, osservando, gustando ogni situazione, libero da ogni pensiero, in totale abbandono al continuo rincorrersi del pre-visto e dell’in-atteso, passando per il ‘99,9% dei fallimenti’, come diceva Alex Webb.

I was born in March 1979 and grew up in Porto Recanati, a small town in the Marche region on the Adriatic coast. I met photography after I was 30, struck by the evocative power of an old film shot by my uncle, which portrays my sister, in an episode of our childhood.

I dedicate myself essentially to two photographic genres. Landscape, for its cathartic value, because it takes you away from the useless chatter of everyday life and makes you enjoy the beauty of the greatest artist that the human eye can admire, Nature.

And candid street photography, because it is immediate and surprising. Losing yourself in the street, listening, observing, enjoying every situation, free from useless thoughts, in total abandonment to the continuous pursuit of the pre-seen and the unexpected, passing through the ‘99.9% of failures’, as Alex Webb said.
